SICADFU — Sit Down, Do Nothing¶
| Regime | No edge in any plan |
| Symbols | SGOV |
| Instrument | SGOV shares |
| Risk | None — capital preservation |
This is the system's cash-management plan for times when no other plan has an edge. It matters because "doing nothing" is not a failure state here; it is an explicit, rules-based choice.
The most common plan. When literally nothing else is set up.
Rules¶
- Buy shares of SGOV (0-3 month T-bills ETF)
- Wait until a Plan M, Alpha, or ETF setup appears
- Monthly rollover: Sell all SGOV on last trading day of month, repurchase on first trading day of next month
SGOV is a very short-term Treasury-bill ETF. In plain English, it is where idle cash sits so the account can earn yield while staying liquid.
Why Monthly Rollover?¶
- Eliminates market risk over month-end
- Gets cash faster than waiting 5-7 days for dividend
- Allows buying more SGOV immediately
Exit¶
A Plan M, Alpha, or ETF setup appears → sell SGOV, deploy capital.
Patience is a Position
SICADFU is not doing nothing. It's earning yield while staying ready. The system fires when conditions are right, not when you're bored.
